I think it is wonderful you have raised so much money to save the marshes for wildlife for ever and I am glad I could help to achieve this goal.

Great news about the Heritage Lottery Fund grant - well done to all involved. Let's make sure the figure of £1m of matched funding is achieved soon.

This looks like a great project to bring back the natural wetlands of Suffolk. I look forward to visiting in the future.

Having visited for the American bittern twitch, this is a fantastic habitat that if linked up will really add to the UK living landscape.

A fantastic reserve which can only get better and better under continued conservation management. Many hours spent here waiting for the American Bittern to show (many thanks to the warden for his excellent work, by the way!) provided excellent views of Barn Owls, Marsh Harriers, displaying Lapwings, all showing the potential of this reserve.

In recognition of the enjoyment that my two boys and I get from the excellent children's holiday activities at Carlton Marshes. Places like this and the wonderful staff and volunteers that support them are so important in giving children and adults a sense of freedom and nurturing an appreciation of the natural world.

We got engaged at Carlton Marshes in 1998 as the reserve has always been special to us. We are regular visitors with our family and wholeheartedly support the reserve.

A great weekend for Rob and Erins' wedding, thank you Matt for helping making that happen, and then at the drop of a hat, being up early the following day to help out with the American Bittern twitch! Great stuff all round with lots of happy 'Lounge Lizards' and other birders from further afield! Looking forward to more great birds in the future with the extra habitat!

Good to see the target for the appeal nearly reached, so I'm happy to give another helping hand.

This donation has been made possible through the sale of plastic bags at our 8 retail outlets. We have seen a drop of bag use of 85% since introducing the charge ahead of government policy and we will continue to donate all proceeds from the sale of plastic bags to environmental charities.
